Respond to your inquiry, reserve your place on my waiting list or send a detailed quote based on your instructions confirming price, medium and size.

You can use the contact form to send me reference photos. Please feel free to send as many as you like as it is always helpful to see the subject from different angles and in different lighting etc.

You can also send me your subject photo or photos as jpegs to my email address: pippa@horse-portraits.com if you prefer.

I am always happy to discuss anything about your commission before starting work on your order to ensure that I have as much information as possible.

I will usually prepare and email some digital compositions using your reference photos to give you an idea of what the portrait will look like or to give you several versions to choose from.

When you have confirmed the composition you are happy with I’ll email a formal quote to you which will list all the important information including size, medium and composition required. When you have accepted the quote your portrait will be added to my waiting list.

When the portrait is finished I’ll email you a scan in most cases or a photo if the artwork is larger than 12″x16″ or an oil painting, for your approval. Any changes or alterations can be done at this point.

When you have approved the portrait I’ll email to you an e-invoice for the balance still to pay which can be paid online with any debit or credit card or Paypal.

When payment has been received your portrait will be posted to you via Royal Mail Special Delivery. This service is trackable and insured and your artwork will be with you within two working days. For addresses outside the UK delivery may take up to ten working days.
